Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology. (CLIA standards)
• National certification in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology (ASCP or equivalent).
• Advanced or Master’s degree work in area of specialization is desired.
• Knowledge to provide care to patients considering aging processes and cultural patterns.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily testing in the assigned laboratory section or shift.
• Investigate incidents and suggest resolutions for staff/clients.
• Perform, interpret, and supervise complex clinical laboratory tests.
• Provide guidance to technical staff and assist with training.
• Participate in QC reviews and maintenance of equipment.
