Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or closely related field.
• National certification in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology by ASCP or equivalent.
• Advanced or Master’s degree work in area of specialization is desirable but can be obtained through equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of aging processes and cultural patterns in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee testing in a specific laboratory section or shift.
• Investigate incidents and propose resolutions with staff/clients.
• Develop and implement new or improved clinical laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Monitor QA/QC and maintain records; supervise staff and students.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or closely related field

National certification (or eligible) in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology by ASCP or equivalent
