Qualifications

• Licensed as Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Technician in NY.
• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science.

• Proficient with computers; familiarity with LIS is a plus.
• High attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory technical procedures according to SOPs.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers to ensure accuracy.
• Demonstrate ability to make technical testing decisions and solve problems.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents and controls.
• Perform and document maintenance and quality control procedures on analyzers.
• Identify and replenish testing supplies as necessary.
• Assist with phlebotomy and specimen processing when needed.
• Report accurate test results in a timely manner to support patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE; follow safety rules.
• Staff guidance: assist with training and supervise daily tasks.
