Northside Hospital is seeking a Lead Medical Technologist to oversee multiple laboratory sections, perform MT III duties, and assist the supervisor. The role includes taking charge in the supervisor’s absence and ensuring smooth shift operations across all sections.

The candidate should have certification eligibility and be capable of adhering to standard regulatory requirements, with strong communication skills and attention to detail expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical/physical/biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology with eligibility for certification exam.
• Certification agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW).
• Associate's degree plus certification as MT/MLS/CLS with ASCP/NCA/AMT/AAB/HHS.
• Military program graduate with MT/MLS/CLS certification and 3 years' clinical lab experience.
• Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in operation of every laboratory section and monitor shift operation.
• Perform duties of Medical Technologist III; assist supervisor and take charge in absence of supervisor.
• Ensure procedures comply with proper standards and regulations.
