HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking a Medical Technologist Lead to oversee testing operations in the absence of the Lab Supervisor or Manager. The role emphasizes technical oversight, supervision of staff, and ensuring timely, accurate reporting of results for priority or abnormal values.

Responsibilities include personnel supervision, evaluating technical problems, ensuring corrective actions, and maintaining competency among testing staff.

Qualifications

• Two years’ recent experience in the department.
• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology.
• MT-MLS certification. Must be detail oriented and able to operate mechanical, electrical and computer-controlled instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of testing personnel in the absence of the Department Supervisor or Manager.
• Assure the workflow provides results of stats and priority tests within prescribed times.
• Ensure that reports are accurate and reported appropriately for abnormal and critical values.
• Evaluate technical problems and report to the Departmental Supervisor or Manager.
