Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Laboratory professional to perform and lead a range of laboratory tests within our Clinical Laboratory. The role emphasizes leadership, quality control, and ongoing training for staff, ensuring accurate and timely test results.

Under supervision, you will develop procedures, monitor equipment, and ensure compliance with CLIA/CAP standards. Strong communication and collaboration with clinicians are essential to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a lab science from an accredited institution.
• Associate degree in a laboratory science or MLT from an accredited institution.
• Equivalent lab training meeting CLIA 42CFR493.1489(b)(3)(ii).
• Military medical laboratory training with MLS/MLT background may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine and complex lab procedures per established policies.
• Leads operation of a specific laboratory area under supervision.
• Provides technical leadership and trains bench personnel.
• Identifies process improvements, collects data, and participates in departmental discussions.
• Ensures quality control, specimen handling, and proper storage of samples.
• Supports accreditation activities and compliance with safety standards.
