Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Lead Lab Technician to oversee operations at the University City/Mtn Island lab. A Bachelor's Degree with MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification is required, and the position is full-time (36 hours per week).

Shifts rotate between bench and desk work, with on-call duties approximately every six weeks and possible night, weekend, and holiday coverage. You will drive quality, safety, and accreditation readiness (CAP, AABB, TJC), participate in policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with certification MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), CT(ASCP) or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality, efficiency, and safety in the section while meeting accreditation standards (CAP, AABB, TJC).
• Tracks and resolves problems and checks process accuracy before reporting results.
• Assigns work, delegates, and ensures timely completion of tasks.
• Participates in policy/procedure development and reviews.
• Performs competency assessments to ensure staff meet accreditation requirements.
