Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient name and MR number before specimen collection or testing.
• Rejects unsuitable specimens and documents reasons.
• Performs calibration, quality control, and preventive maintenance per procedures.
• Reports instrument problems and documents actions taken.
• Starts up and shuts down instruments at shift start/end.
• Follows lab policies for tests and compares current results with prior values.
