BayCare Health System at St. Joseph's Hospital South in Riverview, FL seeks a Supervisor Medical Staff Services to oversee credentialing and privileging for providers across the hospital network.

The role focuses on accuracy, compliance, and efficient processing in a complex healthcare setting. This full-time position requires leadership of the Medical Staff Services team, collaboration with the Credentials Verification Office and Medical Staff Leadership, and active involvement in audits,

Qualifications

• Oversees credentialing and privileging for providers across hospital(s).
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS, AHCA, and related regulatory requirements.
• Provides leadership to the Medical Staff Services team and coordinates with the BayCare Credentials Verification Office (CVO).
• Reviews team output for quality, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with Chief Medical Officers and Medical Staff Leadership to support department and system initiatives.
• Identifies operational trends, resolves credentialing issues, and prepares for audits and accreditation activities.
• Ensures compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, Regulations and Policy.
• Recognizes and analyzes medical staff problems and proposes effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and performance of credentialing and privileging functions.
• Leads the MSS team and ensures timely processing of initial appointments and reappointments.
• Maintains high standards of accuracy, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
• Partners with hospital departments and CVO for survey readiness and process improvements.
• Supports policy development and implementation of quality initiatives.
• Identifies trends and resolves complex credentialing issues to support hospital operations.
