Job summary

Toppenish Medical-Dental Clinic in Toppenish, WA seeks a Lead Medical Receptionist to provide front-desk support, translation, data collection, scheduling, and billing assistance. You will interact with patients, verify insurance, manage records, and support a busy clinic with empathy and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year as a clinic receptionist, is bilingual (English/Spanish), and can prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience as a clinic receptionist preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required at a functional level.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Handle phone calls, greet patients, manage logs, and provide translation services.
• Collect patient data and maintain records.
• Schedule appointments, verify insurance, assist with billing, and respond to patient inquiries.
• Maintain cash box and complete other assigned tasks.
• Act as liaison between line staff and the direct supervisor.
• Manage breaks, lunches, sick calls and overtime.
• Provide insights to leader regarding the skill level and performance of employees.
• Train new employees and existing staff as needed.

• $17.57-$21.52/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates

What You’ll Do:

• One year's experience as a receptionist in a clinic is preferred


• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required at a level 9


• Ability to prioritize work and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptions.


• Ability to professionally interact with patients, Providers, and staff


• Ability to deliver outstanding customer service


• Basic knowledge of medical terminology & healthcare billing insurance is desired


• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
