The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist II (S) for Central Regional Hospital in Butner, NC. The role supports laboratory planning, budgeting, and operations under supervision, and may supervise lower-level staff when needed.

The position emphasizes technical guidance in quality control, instrumentation, LIS tasks, and problem solving. The lab serves over 800 patients with ~15,000 tests monthly and maintains CAP accreditation.

Formación

Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology, chemistry or a biological science with two years of medical laboratory experience.
Associate degree in medical technology with three years of medical laboratory experience.
Certified laboratory assistant course with four years of medical laboratory experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify.

Responsabilidades

Assist supervisor with laboratory planning, budgeting and operations.
Assist with staff selection and performance evaluation.
In supervisor's absence, direct lab operations and supervise technologists and lab assistants.
Serve as technical resource for quality control, equipment, and instrumentation, troubleshooting issues.
Ensure compliance with safety policies and accreditation standards.
