Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree as listed in MLS pathways.
• Certification per degree level (ASCP/AMT as applicable).
• No prior professional laboratory experience required for MLS I.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived/POC, moderate, and high complexity CLIA testing as appropriate to role.
• Investigates and resolves problems with equipment, test results, specimens, and workflow.
• Performs quality control, proficiency testing, and monitors accuracy of testing.
• Prepares reagents and assists in standard/control material preparation.
• Monitors reagent inventory and maintains laboratory supplies.
• Reviews test results for reporting accuracy and timeliness.
• Reports results and confers with healthcare providers as needed.
• Participates in teams and special projects or assignments.
• Educates and trains new employees and learners as appropriate.
• Serves as a technical resource and works under guidance or independently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
