Job summary

Minnesota Oncology is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform moderate and high complexity testing, maintain instruments, and ensure quality control per SOPs. The role includes specimen collection, staff training, and supervision coverage in the supervisor's absence.

The candidate must hold NAACLS-accredited MT/MLS credentials and ASCP or equivalent certification, with a minimum of three years' experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field from NAACLS accredited program and ASCP or equivalent certification.
• Alternative: BS in Chemistry/Biology or related field with specified chemistry and biology coursework and ASCP certification.
• Minimum of three years of laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to high complexity testing and instrument maintenance according to SOPs.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations and QC activities.
• Assist with specimen collection, prepare and process samples, and maintain proper records.
• Train staff, oversee daily lab activities when supervisor absent, and ensure safety compliance.
