Job summary

SperoMD LLC is seeking a Lead Medical Biller to oversee daily revenue cycle operations and mentor the billing team. You will collaborate with Billing Managers, oversee A/R, posting, and reconciliation, and drive process improvements to boost accuracy and performance.

The role focuses on staff development, SOP creation, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities to influence billing strategies within a physician-owned RCM firm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred in healthcare admin, business, or related field.
• 3+ years in medical billing or revenue cycle management in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of insurance follow-up, AR, denials, appeals, and reimbursement processes.
• Experience with Epic is required and CPT/ICD-10 coding concepts familiar.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key resource for insurance billing, collections, denials, and revenue cycle processes.
• Lead core billing functions: AR, payment posting, daily revenue reconciliation.
• Monitor KPIs, payer denial patterns, and suggest process improvements.
• Provide training and mentorship to Billing Representatives to improve accuracy and productivity.
• Assist onboarding of new team members and standardize billing workflows.
• Develop SOPs, training materials, and documentation for knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in meetings and drive revenue cycle performance initiatives.
• Support QA reviews and internal audits for billing accuracy and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and support implementation.
