Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a Team Lead, Medical Assistant-Registered to guide clinic teams across WakeMed Physician Practices. You will perform Medical Assistant duties and mentor new staff to ensure consistent patient care and adherence to standards.

In this role you will onboard teammates, train on MA workflows, and educate staff on protocols and policies, while collaborating with clinicians and supporting multiple clinic locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified or registered Medical Assistant from AAMA, AMT, ARMA, or NCCT.
• Experience as Medical Assistant with strong clinical workflow knowledge.
• Effective communicator with providers, clinical staff, and new team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of a Medical Assistant while serving as a clinical resource for team members.
• Support new hire orientation and provide training on Medical Assistant workflows and responsibilities.
• Educate staff on provider-directed patient care, approved protocols, and WakeMed policies.
• Promote consistency and quality by modeling best practices and standards of care.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and providers while supporting multiple clinic locations as needed.
