US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking an experienced Lead Medical Assistant to help lead our clinical team in a fast-paced podiatry practice. This role combines hands-on patient care with team leadership, mentorship, and coordination with physicians to ensure smooth daily operations.

The ideal candidate has CMA or RMA certification or equivalent experience, strong communication and multitasking skills, and a willingness to travel between local office locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Medical Assistant program completion or 3+ years of clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
• 3 years of healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of health insurance processes, pre-authorizations, insurance verification, medical terminology, CPT codes, and ICD coding preferred.
• Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed.
• Technologically savvy; proficient in Microsoft 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary resource and point of contact for Medical Assistant staff.
• Lead by example by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional patient care.
• Anticipate and plan for physician and clinic needs to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Train and onboard new Medical Assistants and educate staff on new procedures and workflows.
• Assist with interviewing and hiring Medical Assistant candidates.
• Support staff scheduling and help ensure appropriate clinic coverage.
• Oversee medical supply inventory and coordinate ordering as needed.
• Assist with annual Medical Assistant evaluations and performance reviews.
• Monitor the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of medical office equipment.
• Perform all Medical Assistant clinical duties, including assisting physicians with patient care and in-office procedures.
• Communicate personnel concerns and operational issues to management while providing support and guidance to staff.
