Arrowhead Orthaepedics is seeking a Surgery Processor Lead Medical Assistant to support the assigned provider in clinic, coordinate surgical cases, and maintain a full surgical schedule. Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the role requires obtaining authorizations, reviewing diagnostics, updating the EMR, processing charges, educating patients, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while delivering high-volume, high-quality patient care.

Travel between locations may be required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred and CPR certified.
• 5 years of経験 as a Back Office Medical Assistant in orthopaedics preferred.
• 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity preferred.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.

• Assist provider in clinic and coordinate all surgical patients.
• Obtain necessary authorizations and ensure documentation pre-visit.
• Maintain EMR with accurate templates, histories, vitals, and progress.
• Review charges and ensure documentation supports billing.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-operative expectations.
• Serve as liaison among patients, providers, facilities, and care teams.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
• Lead workflow, scheduling efficiency, and staff guidance as needed.
