Job summary

AbsoluteCARE Medical Center & Pharmacy seeks an experienced professional to lead the Medical Assistants (MAs) in a clinical and administrative capacity. You will oversee hiring, performance, and scheduling, onboard new MAs, and ensure clinical competency through regular audits and education.

You will also manage patient flow, coverage during absences, and MA documentation quality. The role requires strong MS Office skills, CPR certification, and solid customer service orientation.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with active state certification.
• All MA experience and clinical leadership experience are a strong plus.
• CPR certification.
• Customer service oriented with ability to handle emergencies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Act as hiring, performance, and time manager for Medical Assistant (MA) team.
• Coordinate with talent acquisition team to fill open positions.
• Onboard new MAs and ensure competence in the role.
• Maintain ongoing assessment of MA competency through chart audits and tracers.
• Manage medical center flow to reduce patient wait times.
• Cover MA duties during absences and breaks.
• Ensure timely completion of MA tasks and responsibilities.
• Monitor MA documentation, QA logs, and related records.
• Oversee MA supply ordering and inventory management.
• Maintain clean, stocked clinical care areas and enforce MA policies.
• Escalate policy deviations to center leadership as needed.
• Oversee MA assignments to teams.
