Job summary

Briya Public Charter School is seeking an experienced Lead Teacher for the Medical Assistant Program in Washington, DC. The role involves leading the MA 2-Gen afternoon class and co-teaching the evening class, preparing students for certification, and delivering accessible instruction across in-person and virtual formats.

You will design lessons aligned with MA standards, utilize CASAS and RMA exam prep, and collaborate with the adult education team to support student success in a two-generation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Preference for current professional RMA/CMA or related licensure.
• 3–5 years of related practical work/clinical experience, preferably in community care.
• Experience teaching in interactive, project-based formats and promoting student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead instruction for Briya’s MA 2-Gen afternoon class and co-teach the evening class.
• Prepare students to work competently and safely as Registered Medical Assistants.
• Teach MA curriculum with fidelity and differentiate based on student needs.
• Use LMS to document grades and provide feedback to students.
