Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training.
• 2-5 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a related area.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Checks in and checks out patients, schedules tests and procedures, and verifies insurance coverage and authorizations.
• Prepares charts, enters charges, completes required paperwork, and maintains accurate medical records.
• Responds to patient calls, documents requests, and communicates with clinical staff and providers.
• Provides basic patient care, performs procedures within certification, and administers medications.
• Supports wellness through patient education and engages in service excellence.
