Job summary

The position requires 2 years of clinical experience, a valid Basic Life Support certification, and one of several eligible credentials (LPN, Illinois EMT, or certified Medical Assistant from CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA).

Qualifications

• Two years relevant clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must meet one of: LPN license for state, EMT license in Illinois, or an MA with current certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA).

Responsibilities

• Leads the work of Medical Assistants within the practice.
• Supports physicians and nurses and ensures efficient patient flow.
• Prepares exam rooms, assists with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations and related procedures.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and safety; trains new staff and orients new employees.
