Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a physician office or healthcare setting.
• Current Medical Assistant certificate/certification from an accredited training program.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills may be required depending on location.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
• Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership to Medical Assistants and non-physician staff.
• Support front and back office operations for efficient workflow.
• Oversee patient check-in prep; ensure charts and documentation are complete.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record visit information.
• Explain procedures, perform treatments within scope, and administer meds as authorized.
• Ensure scheduling accuracy and follow-up visit coordination.
• Collect and reconcile co-payments per procedures.
• Monitor compliance with workflows and policies.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new associates.
• Provide ongoing coaching to promote performance and accountability.
• Lead monthly staff meetings and escalate concerns as needed.
