Job summary

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to oversee clinical operations across its Southern Region CFHC locations. The role combines leadership with hands-on MA duties, including patient care, vital signs, chart reviews, and EMR documentation, across clinic and mobile units.

This position requires local travel, driving a mobile unit, and working at multiple sites with a flexible schedule. Certification as CMA/CMOA/EMT and at least one year of MA experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical training program.
• Current CMA/CMOA/EMT certification.
• At least one year of MA experience or leadership experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a mobile unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for scheduling, staff coverage and patient care.
• Lead staff training and maintain training documentation in Relias.
• Assess staff readiness and ensure compliance with CPR/EMT certifications.
• Perform medical assistant duties in clinic and mobile unit settings including vital signs and venipuncture.
• Document in EMR and manage care coordination across sites.
• Support program development and partner with community organizations.
