Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with hiring and training Medical Assistant staff.
  • Obtain patient vitals and medical history.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab quality controls.
  • Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure.
  • Draw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing.
  • Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions.
  • Responsible for lab compliances; must be organized!
  • Coordinate oversight of laboratory with Medical Director as needed.
  • Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations.
  • Ensure patient immunizations are well documented, administered in accordance with approved procedure, and stored appropriately.
  • Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis.
  • Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
  • Corrective action conversations with back office employees.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Summary

Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
