Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living Mgmt Inc is seeking a Lead Medication Aide/Med Tech to serve as the shift-level clinical leader ensuring safe medication administration, accurate documentation, and team accountability.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, relevant certifications, and at least 1 year of experience in senior care. You will mentor staff, monitor resident conditions, and support staffing coverage while upholding infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; age 18+.
• Medication Administration certification and CPR/First Aid certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in senior care; strong attention to detail and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications following the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Accurately document in MAR/TAR and complete narcotic counts.
• Monitor for refusals, PRNs, and resident condition changes.
• Verify new orders and reconcile physician directives.
• Lead shift crossovers and support staffing coverage.
• Mentor and coach Medication Aides/Med Techs.
• Maintain medication cart, room hygiene, and infection control standards.
• Communicate concerns to Wellness Nurse/RCD promptly.
