Job summary

The Neighborhood at Decatur is seeking a Med Tech / Certified Medication Aide to support resident care and health monitoring. The role requires a certified medication aide and a minimum of one year of experience with elders or disabled individuals, with leadership capabilities.

Schedule is Mon–Fri with every other weekend; evenings may be required to meet peak service times. Responsibilities include administering medications, updating PSPs, coordinating with Wellness staff and families, and

Qualifications

• Must be certified Medication Aide and/or meet state requirements for medication aide.
• A minimum of one year of experience working with elders or disabled individuals, preferred.
• Must have demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living or Dementia care preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitors health and well-being of residents and supports wellness programs.
• Assists with medication care, administration and documentation.
• Maintains clinical quality assurance and accurate PSP entries.
• Communicates with Wellness Director/Executive Director about changes in care or service levels.
• Obtains weights and vital signs and supports monthly wellness visits.
