Job summary

Mycronic is seeking an experienced Senior Semiconductor Equipment Engineer (Mechanical) to join the Global Technologies division within Surfx Technologies. You will lead the end-to-end mechanical engineering of turnkey atmospheric plasma tools for the semiconductor industry, collaborating with sales, service, and process teams.

The role requires deep mechatronics expertise, mentoring abilities, and travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in mechatronics or related field.
  • 10+ years in mechanical tool design, semiconductor/high-precision.
  • Experience with ISO/CE/UL/SEMI safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead end-to-end mechanical engineering for turnkey plasma tools.
  • Develop advanced mechatronic solutions for high-precision automated plasma machines.
  • Apply design principles using SolidWorks and GD&T for integration.
  • Ensure tools meet key performance metrics: fast, damage-free surface modification.
  • Manage project timelines/resources and mentor junior engineers.
  • Provide global technical support and travel as needed.
