Job summary

T5 Data Centers in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a Mechanical SME to lead operations for critical mechanical systems and mentor junior technicians. You will work with on-site vendors and the Engineering team to ensure ongoing maintenance, repairs, and reliability of facility equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5–7+ years in mission-critical environments, with strong communication, documentation, and safety focus. On-site involvement and daily reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in mission critical environments with heavy mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical manuals and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems with onsite vendor.
• Develop emergency, maintenance and drill procedures with Engineering.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental policies in the data center.
• Close out mechanical issues via daily shift reports and CMMS.
• Maintain mechanical equipment at optimal performance.
• Train junior technicians on mechanical issues.
• Liaise with client engineers on day-to-day operations.
• Generate periodic reports on data center mechanical activities.
