Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Team Leader in Service Information Development in Warren, MI. You will lead a team responsible for accurate, timely service procedures for current and future launches, while guiding transitions to new authoring systems and pursuing AI-driven improvements.

You will manage cross-functional work across body, interior, exterior, electrical, and collision areas, ensuring content quality and compliance with GM standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, automotive technical, or related discipline.
• Experience leading people, teams, or cross-functional projects; ability to set priorities and deliver results.
• Strong understanding of vehicle mechanical systems and service procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical information to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a service information team; set priorities and support career growth.
• Oversee creation, validation, and publication of mechanical service content and procedures.
• Plan and deliver work for current production, future launches, and lifecycle updates.
• Provide technical direction across body, interior, exterior, electrical, and collision commodities.
• Lead transition to a new service information authoring system and ensure readiness.
• Support warranty reduction and quality initiatives using field data and feedback.
• Lead projects exploring AI, automation, analytics, and digital capabilities to improve quality and productivity.
