Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a Lead Designer in the United States with 12+ years in mechanical and piping design. You will supervise a team of designers, deliver complex piping systems, and provide project controls for cost, schedule and quality under general supervision.

The role requires an associate degree in engineering technology or CAD drafting and SPED certification preferred. On-site leadership and coordination with other disciplines are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree in engineering technology or CAD drafting.
• Extensive progressive experience in mechanical and piping design.
• Ability to lead a design team and deliver on schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide technical direction to a design team.
• Deliver mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide on-site startup support and guidance to junior staff.
• Develop piping installation specifications and supporting calculations.
• Mentor and develop staff; coordinate with discipline leads across teams.
