Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Pasadena, CA is seeking a lead designer to supervise a team of designers, delivering mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget. You will guide technical direction, mentor staff, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in mechanical/piping design, an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD, and SPED certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.
• Certification: SPED Certification preferred.
• Experience: 15+ years in mechanical/piping drafting and design.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team to deliver mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance to junior designers and coordinate with staff and discipline leads.
• Produce installation specifications and construction cost estimates.
• Mentor subordinates and lead squad checks for cross-discipline coordination.
