Job summary

Total Mechanical Solutions in Richmond, VA is seeking a Mechanical Foreman to lead commercial and multifamily mechanical installations. You will directly guide skilled plumbing and HVAC crews, manage daily field operations, and collaborate with a superintendent to keep projects on schedule.

You will enforce OSHA safety standards, review blueprints, mentor apprentices, and document production and time entries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in the mechanical construction industry.
• At least 2 years leading plumbing or HVAC crews in the field.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency to manage field documentation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily field activities for plumbing and HVAC crews to maximize productivity.
• Execute work plans developed by the Superintendent in line with project schedules.
• Coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment to keep installations moving forward with minimal delays.
• Enforce OSHA guidelines and company safety policies to maintain a hazard-free jobsite.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure mechanical installations meet local codes and project plans.
• Complete daily production documentation, review time entries, and report field conflicts to leadership.
