Job summary

Supernal, an Advanced Air Mobility company, seeks a Sr. Manager for Mechanical and Flight Systems Engineering to guide dynamic systems, airframe, avionics, and interiors from concept through production and certification. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet safety, performance, and cost goals.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years minimum experience working with fixed- or rotary-wing aircraft concept development, product design and analysis, test, certification, production, and in-service support (FAA Part 23/25/27/29 programs preferred).
• Seven (7) years minimum experience with composite design, analysis and production.
• Familiarity with aviation industry groups (e.g., CMH17, ASTM F44, RTCA) is desired.

Responsibilities

• Guide development, certification, and production of dynamic systems, airframe, flight systems, and interiors for prototype and production programs.
• Develop and manage M&FS requirements, schedules, budgets, and risk; align resources across multiple programs.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams; ensure safety, quality, and certification readiness across projects.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or equivalent
