Job summary

InServ seeks a seasoned Mechanical Estimator to lead Hygienic/Process Piping proposals from concept to submission, ensuring bids are complete, competitive and delivered on time. The role focuses on industrial markets and requires strong collaboration with the preconstruction team.

The candidate will manage bid documents, vendor pricing, and estimations while coordinating with Project Managers on change orders and database improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience.
• Proven ability to estimate process pipe and plumbing projects within industrial markets such as Pharma, Life Sciences, Food Processing, and General Manufacturing.
• Proficiency with estimating software (QuoteSoft preferred).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
• Demonstrated experience in industrial construction (required).

Responsibilities

• Lead and schedule bid review meetings to meet deadlines and submission requirements.
• Prepare and complete bid documentation using required forms, formats, and processes.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site walkthroughs, and client discussions as needed.
• Manage all pre-bid documentation, including drawings, specs, addenda, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Coordinate completion of all bid-related documents (bonds, certificates, schedules, org charts, signatures).
• Support Project Managers with pricing for large change orders on active projects.
• Maintain and enhance the estimating database with Business Development.
• Build and sustain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Lead post-award turnover meetings from Preconstruction to Operations.
