Job summary

U.S. Engineering is seeking a seasoned Estimator to lead advanced mechanical estimating for HVAC, piping and sheet metal on regional projects. You will develop bid strategies, review drawings, and manage supplier quotes to win bids.

Collaborate with preconstruction, operations and client teams to ensure accurate, competitive estimates and timely bid delivery. This role requires 3–5 years of mechanical estimating experience and proficiency with industry software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in full mechanical estimating.
• Experience working with HVAC, piping and plumbing estimates.
• Review proposal specs and drawings to determine scope of work and contents of estimate.
• Proficiency with estimating software.
• Strong client relationship and bid coordination.

Responsibilities

• Accurate preparation of HVAC, piping, and sheet metal estimates for bids.
• Review drawings and specs to determine scope and contents of estimates.
• Coordinate bid preparation and final closeout for hard bids.
• Develop bid checklists and bid strategy to win projects.
• Collaborate with project development and operation teams on proposals.
• Serve as contact to vendors and subcontractors during bid preparation.
• Maintain files of working documents and supplier price data.
