Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead ruggedized electronics packaging for naval torpedo systems. You will design, analyze, and document mechanical aspects of torpedo hardware, applying SolidWorks CAD and GD&T standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage drawings and BOMs in Windchill EPDM, support testing and manufacturing, and communicate technical results to program management and Navy customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Experience with ruggedized electronics packaging preferred.
• Security clearance (DoD Secret) preferred at time of hire.
• Strong CAD modeling and drawing creation skills required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional teams to develop ruggedized electronics assemblies for torpedo platforms.
• Support proposals, research, development, manufacture, test, and documentation for Torpedo Systems.
• Lead mechanical design efforts for Torpedo and related test systems.
• Produce and review drawings and BOMs using SolidWorks CAD and Windchill EPDM per ASME Y14.100/Y14.5.
