WSP USA’s Federal Power and Energy Team seeks a Lead Generation Mechanical Engineer to drive mechanical piping and equipment design for 10–20MW power generation campuses. The role covers plant layout, PFDs/P&IDs, vendor liaison, and cross‑disciplinary coordination.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in power generation mechanical design, with experience in reciprocating engines, turbines, and emissions considerations, and will mentor junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering design experience for power generation projects.

Mansioni

• Lead the mechanical piping and equipment design for power generation facilities.
• Prepare PFDs and P&IDs for plant systems including steam cycles and utilities.
• Develop plant layout drawings.
• Evaluate vendor drawings and interface with suppliers and other disciplines.
• Prepare construction scopes of work.
• Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
