Job summary

SEH, an employee-owned engineering and architectural firm, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for the West Region in Colorado. You will lead mechanical design from concept through construction, coordinating with design teams and clients, and delivering complete construction documents in Revit.

This role offers high autonomy, opportunities for growth into project management, and the ability to mentor junior staff while supporting ongoing standards development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Active PE license in one or more states; Colorado license preferred or can be obtained soon after hire.
• Proven ability to run projects independently and deliver HVAC and plumbing designs.
• Proficiency in Revit for construction documents and design production.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Mechanical Engineer of Record on building and facility projects, owning quality, schedule and delivery.
• Produce HVAC and plumbing designs and construction documents in Revit with minimal oversight.
• Coordinate design with architects, owners, and internal disciplines (electrical, structural, civil, process).
• Conduct site visits and in-person client meetings in the West Region and nationwide as needed.
• Lead coordination conversations with clients and project stakeholders to translate needs into buildable solutions.
• Support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, and punch lists.
• Mentor team members and help mature workflows and templates as the West Region grows.
