Bison® in Kent, OH seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and support motor-driven products. You will lead projects individually and with a team, turning concepts into workable designs and testing against requirements for production.

Innovation is key as you handle multiple projects, assist with existing products, manufacturing issues, re-sourcing, and continuous improvements across global sites.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 2+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including casting, molding, stamping, machining, winding, and assembly.
• Proficiency in CAD; SolidWorks preferred.
• Strong math skills and ability to apply advanced math and statistics.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (<25%).

Responsabilités

• Design motor and blower, pump, and gearmotor assemblies, ranging from customization to clean-sheet development.
• Perform engineering analysis and testing to ensure product integrity and manufacturability.
• Understand market or customer needs and propose differentiated solutions.
• Understand manufacturing processes to optimize design and support production development and tool-up.
• Drive and/or support multiple development efforts in parallel at different stages.
• Understand cost drivers and drive improvements and optimization.
• Prepare product documentation to maintain configuration control and aid customer understanding.
• Support manufacturing and customers across multiple sites.
• Support and lead re-sourcing, qualification, and production shifts.
