Job summary

Bison designs and manufactures advanced electronics for motion control in pumps, gearmotors and blowers. We seek a hands-on Electronics Engineer with a strong background in firmware, hardware development, and cross-functional teamwork to deliver durable, reliable solutions across industries.

The role emphasizes design, testing, and collaboration with Sales and Applications Engineering, with domestic and international travel up to 10%. Lifting motors up to 35 lbs is expected in a lab setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–5 years engineering experience in electronics design.
• Strong digital/analog circuit design and MCU interfaces.
• Firmware experience for motor control applications (C/C++).
• Proficiency in Python and common lab tools (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters).
• Willing to use AI tools to boost productivity and cut costs.
• Lab-based role with ability to lift motors up to 35 lbs.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain firmware in C/C++ and Python for motor drives and interfaces.
• Assist in hardware development for motor drives and test fixtures.
• Analyze customer specs and propose cost-effective, feasible solutions.
• Plan and execute experimental testing to validate performance.
• Support manufacturing and customers with troubleshooting and launches.
• Use software and lab equipment to design, simulate, and test electronics.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Applications Engineering.
• Ensure projects meet timelines and budget targets.
