Job summary

At AtkinsRéalis in Henderson, NV seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive design, reviews, and project delivery for mining and industrial facilities. You will lead the mechanical team, coordinate with multi-discipline groups, and engage clients to pursue new work.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, business development, and mentorship, with opportunities to shape strategy and project execution. Strong North American codes knowledge and a Nevada PE are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in mining and/or heavy industrial projects.
• Proven experience as Mechanical Discipline Lead or Technical Lead.
• U.S. PE license (Nevada preferred, or reciprocity).
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong knowledge of North American codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, AISC).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Act as Mechanical Discipline Lead on medium to large mining and industrial projects.
• Support business development with technical proposals and client presentations.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; identify repeat business opportunities.
• Grow the Mechanical Department; plan resources and succession.
• Oversee discipline deliverables and coordinate with process, structural, electrical teams.
• Support construction, commissioning and field activities as required.
