Job summary

Stratus® is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to drive complex MEP design projects across a multidisciplinary team. You will provide technical leadership, guide junior engineers, and ensure design excellence from concept through construction administration.

The role emphasizes strong collaboration with architects, contractors, and clients, plus staying ahead of industry innovations. Hybrid work is supported with opportunities for leadership in business development and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree required (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• 10–15 years in engineering design and project management.
• Strong leadership and mentorship skills for guiding junior engineers and projects.
• Ability to lead large-scale engineering projects and provide expert-level technical guidance.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive MEP engineering experience with building systems design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex engineering projects with technical oversight.
• Provide leadership for a multidisciplinary MEP engineering team.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and reports meeting regulatory standards and client expectations.
• Serve as the primary technical expert on projects and resolve design challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence across the team.
• Conduct quality control reviews at key milestones and coordinate with architects, contractors, and consultants.
• Oversee construction administration tasks, site visits, and submittal reviews.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to address client needs.
• Stay current with industry advancements and integrate new solutions into designs.
• Support business development via proposals and client presentations.
