Job summary

IPS Integrated Project Services is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to direct the design of HVAC systems for life science facilities. You will oversee projects, manage scope, and coordinate with project managers, clients, and design professionals across multiple locations, with some travel and remote options.

The role requires 10–12 years in engineering/design, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and strong knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit and codes.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of Engineering/design experience in building design (HVAC & utilities).
• BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university.
• Thorough understanding of the construction process and codes.

Responsibilities

• Direct the design of HVAC systems including air distribution, pumping, piping, steam, and central plants for pharma/life science facilities.
• Lead projects through feasibility, design, and documentation phases; liaise with PMs and clients.
• Write scopes of work, manage design team tasks, and review progress and markups for drawings.
