Job summary

Miller-Remick is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to act as lead on multiple capital projects across markets, with a strong focus on healthcare. This role may be filled anywhere in the United States.

You will manage project delivery from concept through construction administration, interface with clients, and ensure technical quality. A Bachelor's in engineering and 10 years of related experience are required; PE license preferred. Anticipated salary range is $110,000 - $150,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in new construction, renovations, and/or additions.
• Experience in hospitals and healthcare, military bases, government buildings and courthouses, research laboratories, and site utility infrastructure.
• Knowledge of building codes and material design standards.
• Proficient with REVIT, AutoCAD and Trane Trace load calculation software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full execution of assigned projects from concept through bid documents and construction administration.
• Manage mechanical design on multiple projects, establish priorities, and direct work of designers on your projects.
• Independently lead mechanical design and review others' work while leading as Lead Engineer.
• Ensure technical quality of engineering tasks on assigned projects.
• Develop project-specific technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Communicate with all disciplines to integrate project requirements.
• Interface with clients and participate in meetings as lead mechanical engineer.
• CA tasks include site visits, field reports, submittals, RFIs, and coordination with client/contractors.
• Conduct and lead mechanical field surveys and prepare field reports.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline project teams.
