WSP is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for their Property & Buildings team in Los Angeles, CA. This experienced engineer will lead mechanical system designs across a variety of sectors including healthcare and commercial, ensuring high-quality delivery from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience and strong skills in HVAC systems, design management, and client communication. WSP offers a robust benefits package and competitive salary between $122,700 and $182,200.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design for building systems.
• Experience supporting healthcare and/or complex institutional or commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building systems design, and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering design and delivery across diverse portfolio.
• Oversee design of HVAC, air distribution, hydronic, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Serve as a technical lead and client point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage projects from concept development through construction and close-out.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and sector-specific requirements.
