Worley in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer (Lead) to provide mechanical engineering leadership for the design and delivery of process and utility equipment across oil, gas, chemical, petrochemical, power, and bulk materials projects. Lead an engineering team, review specifications, and ensure compliance with codes and Worley standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record in brownfield/greenfield projects, with ABET-accreditedMechanical Engineering

Qualifications

Recognized bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited college or University.
Demonstrated leadership and project delivery experience on capital projects in regulated industries.
Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide mechanical engineering leadership from concept through commissioning, including equipment selection and system integration.
Coordinate and participate in development of effort-hour estimates for mechanical projects.
Develop project schedules for mechanical activities and monitor progress against budget.
Lead the development and review of specifications, calculations, and drawings for mechanical equipment.
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and Worley quality expectations.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across Worley offices and time zones.
