Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for our Milwaukee, WI office. You will design complex cooling and HVAC systems, lead projects and a team of mechanical engineers, and collaborate with clients, architects and contractors to deliver robust mission critical environments.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years experience in high‑performance facilities, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel to client sites. PE preferred

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in designing mechanical systems for high performing, commercial, industrial or mission critical/data center buildings.
• Experience mentoring and training others in field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and deliver complex mechanical engineering projects and guide junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the design of complex mechanical systems for data centers and mission critical facilities.
• Direct the project team and mentor engineers to meet budget and schedule.
• Develop proposals and coordinate with clients, architects, contractors and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety policies, and project quality requirements.
