Job summary

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project management plans for construction and facility projects throughout the lifecycle.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects with adherence to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and performance requirements.
  • Review designs and modifications for compliance with objectives and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate project activities with field personnel for effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify construction quality and compliance with codes and standards.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and other construction documentation.
  • Conduct punch list inspections and turnover activities.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly project status reports to teams, leadership, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare scopes of work, market research, and acquisition documentation including justifications when required.
  • Maintain and process contract modifications and change requests.

Procon now seeks a Senior Project Manager for a long-term opportunity in the Washington, DC area. The Senior Project Manager will lead complex federal construction and facilities projects from planning through completion, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, managing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and serving as a trusted advisor to stakeholders. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, a bachelor\'s degree, and experience managing complex construction projects in a fast-paced federal environment.

Requirements
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with a current Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience managing complex construction, renovation, or facilities projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Microsoft Project
  • Demonstrated experience developing project management plans and leading multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and project lifecycle management
  • Ability to monitor project performance and prepare clear, concise project status reports and executive-level communications
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple organizations
  • Ability to read, interpret, and review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and technical documentation.
  • Experience managing new building construction projects preferred
  • Previous experience supporting federal construction, facilities, or infrastructure programs
Responsibilities And Duties
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project management plans to support construction and facility improvement projects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, contractors, and technical professionals to successfully deliver project objectives
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to established scope, schedule, budget, quality, and performance requirements
  • Review construction designs and proposed modifications to existing facilities to ensure compliance with project objectives and technical requirements
  • Assist in managing both project design activities and construction execution from planning through project completion
  • Coordinate project activities with field personnel to ensure effective communication, issue resolution, and successful project execution
  • Conduct field inspections to verify construction quality, compliance with design specifications, applicable building codes, and industry standards
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and other construction documentation
  • Conduct punch list inspections and verify completion of outstanding items prior to project turnover and acceptance
  • Prepare and distribute weekly project status reports and provide regular updates to project teams, leadership, customers, and stakeholders
  • Collect project requirements, develop scopes of work, perform market research, and prepare supporting acquisition documentation, including sole-source justifications when required
  • Maintain, track, and process contract modifications, change requests, and project documentation to ensure accurate project records
  • Identify project risks, resolve issues proactively, and implement corrective actions to maintain successful project delivery
  • Support a high-visibility federal facilities and infrastructure program by delivering technical project management services that contribute to long-term mission success
