Job summary

Nesco Resource, a Long Island electronics manufacturer, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to lead product designs from concept through launch, with emphasis on performance, reliability, and innovation.

The role requires collaboration with electrical, manufacturing and quality teams, conducts DFMEAs and DOEs, uses SolidWorks for 3D CAD, and travel up to 10% while driving cost targets and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 4+ years of mechanical product design experience.
• Experience with PCBs and electronics packaging preferred.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and validation testing methodologies.
• Experience with 3D CAD and drafting; SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead product designs from concept to launch for NPI/PLE projects.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to provide PCB mechanical dimensions and packaging requirements.
• Develop DFMEAs and DVP&Rs; perform or oversee prototype testing.
• Perform virtual simulations and DOE to validate design direction.
• Maintain tooling budgets and product cost targets; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
