Job summary

Judge Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for a 1-year contract in Germantown, MD, within the satellite communications and aerospace technology industry. Lead end-to-end hardware development from concept through production and field deployment, coordinating with cross-functional teams onsite.

Required: strong CAD skills (Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA), hands-on FEA/CFD, thermal analysis and GD&T expertise, and a background in high-rel aerospace, avionics or RF hardware.

Qualifications

• 6 years of mechanical or electromechanical product development experience.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.)
• Experience with FEA, CFD, thermal analysis, and structural design
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and manufacturing processes
• Background in aerospace, avionics, satellite communications, RF hardware, or other high-reliability systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end hardware development from concept through production and field deployment
• Own mechanical design, analysis, verification, and qualification testing
• Partner with electrical, RF, manufacturing, and certification teams
• Drive DFM/DFA initiatives and support production ramp-up activities
